04-Jun-26Members showcase night
This is an opportunity for you to show us some of your pictures that you have taken at our many studio nights e.g. macro night, model nights, reflection night, Carleton Gange night, water drop night, birds of prey etc. etc.  Send six of your photographs taken at these nights to Kevan Hand       khand@btopenworld.com   numbering them in a “batting order”/preferential list, just in case we are over subscribed.  Images should the usual size i.e no larger than 1600 pixels wide and/or no taller than 1200 pixels. If you have any issues resizing them please let me know, I’m happy to help you.  
11-Jun-26Lawrence Burrow presentationwill be sharing some of his photographic images. Lawrence is a keen street photographer and his photographs are always worth seeing.
18-Jun-26Sophie Ellwood acro displayis another night when you will need to bring your camera/phone.  Sophie Elwood an aerial/acrobatic performer will be attending the club for you to photograph her as she performs various aerial/hoop routines. It promises to be a very interesting evening. 
25-Jun-26Auction Night Bring your photo equipment and accessories that you want to sell. Grab yourself a bargain as you bid against other members for the goodies up for auction

03-Sep-26Jazz club photo shoot at Carleton Grange

The Jive club organiser, has reminded his members that the camera club will be taking photographs during the evening. So hopefully many will be wearing vintage outfits. We will be creating a studio lit area to help us with the photography. Having a flash with you may be useful!

10-Sep-26YPU print portfolioThe exhibited prints from this year’s YPU competition to view and inspect. They may give you some inspiration for your entries into the competition next year!
17-Sep-26John Gardner presentationOur own John Gardner is showing images and talking about his work as a professional photographer.
24-Sep-26Feedback Night

This is an opportunity for you to show some of your images and receive feedback and acclaim! Up to six of your images need to be sent to Kevan Hand on or before 20th September for inclusion. Please number them in order of preference.

01-Oct-26Wire wool photographyAn opportunity for you to do something different. Which involves longer exposure photography, having a tripod may be beneficial.
08-Oct-26Annual print competition

The club’s annual print competition, you can submit up to four monochrome prints and up to four colour prints. These need to be handed to Stephen Dean on or before 24th September

15-Oct-26“Light Painting”. Bring your camera and tripod!

Another opportunity for you to do something different; again, involving longer exposure photography so having a tripod would be beneficial and maybe a flash.

22-Oct-26“Steve on the Road” Presentation

Our very own Steve Springett, who has taken up residence in a van, is going to share images taken during his adventures and exploration of not only the UK, but places further afield. He will also be showing us some of his astrophotography images. This is a presentation you do not want to miss!  

29-Oct-26“Halloween (model) photo shoot”. Bring your camera!

Spooky, horror model night, one of our models will be our very own “Ally the Gothic Lord” there could be others who have yet to confirm but it will be fun! You will need your camera and a strong lens and stomach! (Crucifixes, hammers and wooden stakes are not permitted!)

05-Nov-26Bonfire Night. Bring your camera(6:00 pm start time)Carleton Grange is holding its annual “bonfire night party and firework display”. The doors open at 6pm, the fire is lit at 6:30 and the firework display will start shortly after. This will be a well-attended event and parking will be at a premium, so early attendance is essential. The display takes place in the garden to which the general public are not admitted, the centre are going to cordon off an area in the garden for club members to take photographs they are also permitting us access to the flat roof at the top of the building, which is not for the faint-hearted and will require you to be risk aware!  
12-Nov-26Tony Walsh presentation

Our very own Tony Walsh will be presenting some of his unique styled images many of which are created from subjects most of us would not see. This will be a fascinating evening.

19-Nov-26“Bill Ward” the famed stage and TV actor presentation 

Bill Ward is making his second appearance at our club and will be showing us some of his style of photography that he takes during his down time, when not acting. His previous presentation to us included ICM, longer exposure and closeups of water as well as other genres of photography. A fascinating speaker who provides advice and help with your photography.

21-Nov-26“KEIGHLEY DAY” (Saturday)

The Keighley Day is a YPU event held in the main ballroom Carleton Grange, (9:00 – 5:00pm) on Saturday. There is a charge to attend and one of the event’s main speakers will be Bill Ward.

26-Nov-26Medley Competition Round 4

The final Medley round of the year; members can submit up to three prints and/or up to three PDIs for judging by an external judge. These need to be sent to Stephen Dean on or before 12th November for inclusion.

03-Dec-2610x10x10Ten PDI images from ten members presented to the club in ten minutes! This is a fun evening, when we hope that some of our newer members, or those who do not regularly show their images, can show us some of their work. It’s a minute per image, easy! Your ten images need to be sent to Kevan Hand on or before  26th November.

We have a very wicked and naughty Santa coming to model for us. You will need your camera for this model night

Our end of year Christmas party and presentation night. Further details will be announced later.
